The article was published in the Sunday Star-Times and is syndicated across Stuff.co.nz.

Spending time on Branson’s island was a treat in itself but the opportunity to learn from a business icon was priceless, Conway said. “Sir Richard was very forthcoming about his life and all the ideas and deals that had emerged from conversations at the bar in the great house,” Conway said.

“At the time I was there the original great house had just been rebuilt after a fire from which Kate Winslet rescued Sir Richard’s mother by carrying her down the stairs.” The 74-acre island, with accommodation for 30 people, can be rented for US$65,000 (NZ$91,000) a day.
