Karen Hou’s cosmopolitan career has given her special money insight, reports Rob Stock.

Karen Hou heads up New Zealand operations for the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (or ICBC as it is commonly shortened to), the world’s largest bank.

It’s the only company she’s ever worked for, though it’s taken her around the world from her native China to other Asian countries, Europe, South America and now New Zealand.

Her experience of so many cultures has given her a privileged view of how money is managed by different peoples, and has given her insights what they can learn from each other.
